Debate Competition 2025 - Celebrating National Law Day at Indian Institute of Legal Studies

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies successfully hosted an engaging and intellectually charged Debate Competition on 26th November 2025, commemorating National Law Day.
The event was graced by our Principal-in-Charge, Dr. Trishna Gurung and judged by two distinguished guests:
1. Dr. Binayak Sundas, Director, Centre for Himalayan Studies, University of North Bengal
2. Sri Abhinav Sharma, Assistant Commandant (Law), BSF, North Bengal Frontier
Students from all semesters enthusiastically participated, debating on thought-provoking motions such as:
1. “The Living Constitution: Evolution or Erosion of Original Intent?”
2. “Right to Privacy vs. Right to Know”
3. “Live Streaming of Court Proceedings: Transparency or Threat to Judicial Decorum?”
The competition showcased the analytical brilliance, confidence, and courtroom flair of budding legal minds.
