As part of their curriculum on the Right to Information subject, Semester III BBA LL.B. (Hons.) students from the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, conducted an empirical field study at the Matigara Block Development Office (BDO).

The research, titled “The Role of RTI Applications on the Workload and Efficiency of Matigara Block Development Office, Siliguri,” examined how public administrative offices process information requests and manage institutional workloads. By observing daily operations and interacting with local officials, the students evaluated the practical challenges of administrative compliance, effectively bridging classroom legal theory with the mechanics of transparent public governance.
