Free legal awareness session at Dr. Graham's Homes, Kalimpong

On April 16, Semester VIII students successfully conducted a Legal Aid Awareness session on Human Rights at Dr. Graham’s Homes, Kalimpong, as part of our practical academic assignment.

The session featured an interactive discussion with Class 12 Humanities students, who demonstrated remarkable engagement by posing insightful questions on human rights and seeking career guidance regarding the legal profession.

Key topics addressed by the student speakers (SEMESTER VIII) :

1. Sneha Suzanna Pradhan [BBA LLB (H)]: The evolution of Human Rights, the UDHR, and their connection to the DPSP.
2. Khushi Rai [BBA LLB (H)]: Digital awareness and protecting the right to privacy.
3. Anisha Biswakarma [BA LLB (H) Sec B]: Classifications of human rights, conflicting rights, and State responsibilities.
4. Smaran Thapa [BA LLB (H) Sec A]: Procedural awareness and the steps to report violations to higher authorities.
