Inaugural Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Competition 2025

The MCS Sub-Society ADRC of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies organised its first Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Competition on 06.12.2025. 

The growing trend of dispute settlement outside the traditional court system forms an important part of socio-legal adaptation, as recognised under Section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. 

ADR mechanisms enable faster, simpler, and more confidential resolution of legal disputes. The competition was thoughtfully structured to resemble a formal arbitration set-up as practised in India, providing participants with valuable practical exposure to ADR processes.
