Observance of World Consumer Rights Day at Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri

On 14th March, to observe -World Consumer Rights Day , the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri organised three competitions; Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Article Writing, to promote awareness regarding consumer rights and responsibilities among students.

The competitions were conducted on a range of relevant themes including Know Your Consumer Rights: Awareness is Protection, Be a Smart Consumer: Check Before You Buy, Consumer Awareness in the Digital Marketplace, An Informed Consumer Builds a Fair Marketplace, Truth v. Advertising: When Marketing Misleads Consumers, Your Data, Your Choice: Consumer Rights in the Digital Economy,  Sustainable Consumption: Protecting Consumers and the Planet, and The Hidden Cost of Cheap Products: Ethics, Quality, and Consumer Safety.

Students from different programmes participated with great enthusiasm, using creativity, critical analysis, and expression to engage with contemporary consumer issues. The event provided a valuable platform to encourage informed thinking, responsible consumer behaviour, and greater legal awareness in the spirit of World Consumer Rights Day.
