The celebration of Rabindra Jayanti at Indian Institute of Legal Studies, in collaboration with its Indian Institute of Legal Studies, was observed with immense cultural fervour, elegance, and reverence towards the timeless legacy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. The occasion brought together students, faculty members, dignitaries, and members of the governing body in a heartfelt tribute to the literary genius, philosopher, and cultural icon whose works continue to inspire generations.

The programme was graciously attended by the respected Chairman Sir Joyjit Choudhury, along with esteemed governing body members Mrs. Gouri Choudhury and Mrs. Nandita Choudhury, whose presence added dignity and warmth to the celebration. The event was also honoured by the presence of Dr. Trishna Gurung, Principal of IILS Siliguri, and Dr. Jayati Kharga, Principal of the Cooch Behar Campus.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tributes to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, symbolising respect for his unparalleled contribution to literature, music, art, and humanism. The atmosphere resonated with the essence of Bengali culture as students presented soulful renditions of Rabindra Sangeet, captivating dance performances, poetry recitations, and dramatic portrayals inspired by Tagore’s works. Every performance beautifully reflected the ideals of harmony, creativity, and universalism cherished by the Nobel Laureate poet.

The programme became even more memorable through the enthusiastic participation of students from both campuses, showcasing unity, artistic brilliance, and cultural richness.
