31-08-2026
On August 28, 2026 , The students of the Moot Court Society and the Arts club of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies came together for a heartwarming joint initiative, visiting the 5 Engineer Regiment, XXXIII Corps, Indian Army at Khaprail to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Rakhi with our brave soldiers.
Understanding that the armed forces stand guard far away from their own homes and families, the students sought to bring a piece of home to the barracks. The atmosphere was filled with joy and emotion as the personnel were thrilled to celebrate the festival surrounded by warmth and camaraderie.
Adding a unique and thoughtful twist to the traditional celebrations, the students tied handcrafted crochet Rakhis alongside sustainable, seed-filled Rakhis. This eco-friendly gesture beautifully blended tradition with a commitment to environmental protection and green living, symbolizing growth and enduring ties.
Beyond the festivities, the interaction proved to be profoundly inspiring. The students were deeply enlightened by the valuable advice, experiences, and words of wisdom shared by the army officers, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The successful outreach was guided and accompanied by the esteemed faculty members Ms. Tripti Yonzon, Assistant Professor of law/Teacher Convenor of the Moot Court Society and the Arts Club, Indian Institute of Legal Studies, and Mr. Divyansh Tripathi, Assistant Professor of Law/Teacher-in-charge of the Moot Court Society whose mentorship ensured the day to be remained a memorable tribute to service, artistry, and patriotism.
