The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri organized an insightful Seminar on Tax Awareness on 29th May 2025, in collaboration with the Tax Department, Ministry of Finance.

The seminar was chaired by - Mr. T. Ramalingam, I.R.S, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Siliguri, who addressed the gathering and responded to queries from students.

The event was graced by dignitaries including Mr. Lobsang Tenzing, I.R.S, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Siliguri, Mr. Bijay Agarwal, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Thakur (Income Tax Officers), Mr. Abhijit Das and Mr. Shekhar Kumar (Inspectors), and Mr. Rahul Mitra, Technical Expert from IBM.

The seminar served as a valuable platform for students to engage with tax professionals and gain insights into the workings of India’s tax administration.
