22-05-2026
A special empirical research study on the Impact of Border Trade Policies on Local Businesses in Dulabari and Nearby Indian Markets: An Empirical Analysis was conducted by the students of the X Semester under the guidance of Dr. Rima Ghosh. The study aimed to examine the impact of border trade policies on local businesses in Dulabari and nearby Indian markets.
As part of the research, we were provided with an opportunity to interact with local businessmen in Dulabari and nearby Indian markets. Through these interactions, we gained knowledge about their business strategies, how they conduct their businesses, and their awareness regarding border trade policies.
The field visit provided the students with first-hand exposure to customs clearance procedures, transportation challenges, and infrastructural limitations affecting cross-border trade activities. The researchers observed issues such as truck congestion and transportation delays.
The study further helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and the practical understanding of foreign trade policy.
