Workshop on Consumer Rights & Protection Laws

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri hosted an insightful Seminar/Workshop on Consumer Protection in the light of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, in collaboration with Consumer Affairs & Fair Business Practices, Siliguri Regional Office on the 23rd of July, 2026. 

Our 3-Year LLB, Semester II students had the wonderful opportunity to learn directly from esteemed officials including Shri Amitava Roy, Shri Avijit Debgupta, Shri Samrat Mitra, and Shri Abhijit Biswas, with valuable support from Md. Wahid Alam.

The session was a great success, organised by Ms. Sudiksha Ghatak, Assistant Professor of Law, giving our students practical insight into consumer rights, redressal mechanisms, and the evolving landscape of consumer protection law in India.
