Dr. Anik Sarkar is Assistant Professor of English at IILS, affiliated to the University of North Bengal. His research areas and interests include surveillance studies, film studies, videogames, and the philosophy of technology. His books include The Routledge Handbook of Indian Indie Cinema and The Films of Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Liverpool University Press). His papers have been published in international journals such as South Asian Review (Taylor & Francis), Mobile Media & Communication (Sage), Journal of Gaming and Virtual Worlds (Intellect Books, UK) and Indian Literature (Sahitya Akademi).
