Assistant Professor of Sociology

Dr. Birendra Bhujel is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies (IILS). He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna with a specialization in Ethnic Identity Studies. He also holds an M.Phil. in Sociology from Sikkim Central University, along with an M.A. and B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology from the University of North Bengal. His research interests include Linguistic Landscape (LL), Human Migration, and Sociology of Law. He has qualified national and regional level eligibility tests such as UGC-NET and NE-SLET. He possesses over four years of teaching experience across schools, colleges, and higher-educational institutions. Dr. Bhujel has published nine scholarly articles in national and international journals, including Scopus-indexed publications, and has participated in five national and international seminars and conferences.
