Dr. Madhu Chandra Chakraborty holds an LL.M in Corporate Law and a Ph.D. from Assam University, Silchar. Her research focused on "Protection of Wildlife in the Southern Part of Assam: A Study with Special Reference to Chelonian and Dolphin Species."
Her teaching interests include Environmental Law, Corporate Law, and Family Law-1.
She has authored a book chapter on "Wildlife in Covid-19 Pandemic - A Study" and has published a research article "Legal Aspects for the Conservation of Chelonian Species" in the India International Journal of Juridical Sciences." She has participated in various Seminars, Conferences and Workshops. She served as the Chartered Secretary of the Rotaract Club of Assam University, Silchar from 2018 to 2020. She also worked as a Para-Legal Volunteer with the District Legal Services Authority, Cachar till 2025.
