Assistant Professor of Law

Prateek Chouhan completed his schooling in Bhopal and obtained his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. He subsequently pursued his LL.M. from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. He secured AIR 30 in CLAT PG 2025, AIR 3 in AILET PG 2025, and qualified the UGC NET-JRF (99.92 percentile). His inclination towards legal academia led him to join the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, where he serves as an Assistant Professor of Law. His primary areas of academic interest include Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Intellectual Property Law.

Before joining academia, he gained practical legal experience through internships with leading law firms, including Dentons Link Legal, Singhania & Partners, and HSA Advocates, where he worked on corporate, commercial, insolvency, and regulatory law matters. He has also served as a Law Faculty at Global Law Academy and mentored more than 1,000 CLAT PG and AILET PG aspirants through TopRankers LegalEdge.

His research interests are reflected in several publications in reputed national and international journals, covering areas such as constitutional law, copyright law, free speech, federalism, and tribal rights. He has actively participated in national seminars, conferences, workshops, and academic activities, and has served as an elected member of the Recruitment Coordination Committee at both the National Law School of India University and Hidayatullah National Law University, contributing to institutional and academic development.
