Rajneesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies (IILS), Siliguri. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law at Pondicherry University, where his doctoral research examines the interface between forensic evidence, scientific integrity, and the right to a fair trial in the Indian criminal justice system. He holds an LL.M. in Criminal Law from the Central University of South Bihar and a B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Chanakya National Law University, Patna. A UGC-NET qualified academic, he has previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the High Court of Judicature at Patna and as a Legal Consultant with government departments in Bihar. His research interests include criminal law, forensic science, criminal justice, medico-legal studies, constitutional law, and Alternative dispute resolution. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in Scopus-indexed, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE journals, reflecting his commitment to interdisciplinary legal research and evidence-based legal reform.
