Ms. Titas Biswas is a passionate legal academician, researcher, and content developer, presently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, since March 2025. Prior to this, she was associated with Midnapore Law College as an Assistant Professor and held the position of Senior Content Writer with Blogipleaders in early 2024, contributing extensively to contemporary legal discourses.

A UGC-NET and West Bengal SET-qualified legal professional, Titas holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Burdwan. Over the years, she has actively pursued multidisciplinary legal research, authoring scholarly papers and delivering presentations on a diverse range of subjects, including Intellectual Property Rights, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, International Law, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in legal systems. Her chapter on “Copyright in Musical Work: An Analysis” published in a legal textbook, along with her articles featured in academic newsletters and conference proceedings, reflect her commitment to legal scholarship and policy analysis.

Her research interests are rooted in addressing the interface between law and pressing societal issues - including gender justice, environmental protection, refugee rights, and legal technology. She has presented her work at prominent academic platforms such as Kalinga University and Aliah University, receiving commendations for her nuanced perspectives and research-driven insights.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, Titas integrates research-oriented teaching with active mentorship, legal content development, and social outreach initiatives. With a vision to inspire critical legal thinking and interdisciplinary inquiry among students, she continues to contribute meaningfully to legal academia and public discourse.
