Anti-Ragging Week 2026: Raising Voices for a Safe, Respectful & Ragging-Free Campus

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar observed Anti-Ragging Week through active student participation and creative expression, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a safe, respectful and ragging-free campus environment.

On 12th August 2026, a Poster Making Competition was organised on the theme of Anti-Ragging, through which students conveyed powerful messages highlighting the importance of dignity, respect and a ragging-free campus.

On 13th August 2026, students of the 3rd Semester LL.B., 3rd Semester B.A. LL.B., and 1st Semester B.A. LL.B. programmes presented a thought-provoking drama titled “Awaaz – The Story of Justice.” The performance highlighted the serious consequences of ragging, its impact on individuals, and the importance of empathy, dignity, responsibility and respectful behaviour towards fellow students.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Jyoti Das, Assistant Professor of Law and Co-Convenor, Anti-Ragging Cell, under the guidance of the Principal-in-Charge, Dr. Jayati Kharga.

The initiative reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, respectful and ragging-free academic environment.
