Educational Visit to Parangerpar Swasthya Kendra, Falakata

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Cooch Behar organized an enriching educational visit to Parangerpar Swasthya Kendra, Falakata, in the Alipurduar district on 8th May 2025. This visit was an integral part of the academic curriculum for the LL.B VI semester students, falling under the subject of 'Experiential Learning and Field Work'. The visit was guided by Ms. Priyasa Rai, Assistant Professor of Law, Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with a hands-on understanding of the healthcare system.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with the Community Health Officer (CHO) at the health center, gaining insights and the challenges faced by rural healthcare centers. They observed firsthand operations and services provided by the center, including maternal and child health care, and community outreach programs.

Overall, this experience provided students with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare's legal and social aspects, connecting theory to practice and enhancing their appreciation of the complexities involved.
