Empirical Field Visit to TATA AIA Life Insurance, Alipurduar Branch - Insurance Law

On 17th September 2026, students of LL.B. Semester V undertook a special empirical field visit to TATA AIA Life Insurance, Alipurduar Branch, as part of their course in Insurance Law. During the visit, the students interacted with Mr. Shuman Sarkar, Branch Manager, TATA AIA Life Insurance, Alipurduar, who explained various aspects of insurance and its practical significance.
The discussion primarily focused on the Concept of Insurance, Types of Insurance, and Security of the Insured. The interaction enabled the students to understand how insurance provides financial protection against various risks and how different insurance products address the needs of policyholders. The students also gained practical knowledge regarding the importance of policy terms, scope of coverage, and the protection available to insured individuals.
