Free Legal Aid and Awareness Session at B.D. Jain Modern High School, Cooch Behar

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar has conducted a free legal aid and awareness session for the students of Class IX, X,XI and XII. The session highlighted the importance of Legal Education and Awareness in the contemporary era. The session also revolved around the legal arenas of voting rights and it's relevant legislation. The session also highlighted the importance of Anit Ragging and the Right to Information.

In the latter half of the session, the students of B.A.LL.B Sem- VI  portrayed a drama that sheds light on the grave injustices of infanticide, ragging, dowry, and domestic violence, urging a collective stand for women's safety and dignity along with a social change.

The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Jyoti Das, Assistant Professor of Law.
