
Free Legal Aid and Awareness Session at Tufanganj Ila Devi School

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar has organized a free legal awareness programme for the students of Tufanganj Ila Devi School on 28th April, 2025.
As access to justice involves legal protection, legal awareness, legal aid and counsel, the session aimed to educate the young minds about their Fundamental Rights and Duties that are enshrined in the Constitution of India. The session also revolved around the benefits and challenges of Legal Aid. Furthermore, the concept of FIR, General Diary, Zero FIR were also discussed putting forward their importance in the contemporary era. The session further highlighted the legal areas of Juvenile Justice System in India.
The session ended with an open discussion about the significance of legal education and legal awareness for the young minds.
