Free Legal Aid and Awareness Session at University B.T. & Evening College, Cooch Behar

In an era where legal complexities dominate everyday life, ignorance of the law often leads to exploitation, injustice, and a denial of basic entitlements. To bridge this gap, Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar, conducted a comprehensive Legal Awareness Session on 16th of  February, 2026 at University B.T. & Evening College. The session was designed to enlighten students regarding their constitutional rights and the legal remedies available to them, with a specific focus on their rights and Anti Ragging Laws.

Speakers and the Topics Covered:

1. Ms. Susmita Saha, Assistant Professor of Law- Importance of legal Education in Contemporary Era.

2. Mr. Tanmay Sarkar, LLB. (VI Sem)- Anti Ragging Laws and Discipline in Educational Institutions.

3. Mr. Suman Ray, LLB.(VI Sem)- Legal Framework for Students' Rights and Anti- Discrimination Laws.

4. Mr. Sayan Roy, LL.B. (IV Sem)- Pollution Free Environment as a Fundamental Right and Relevant Legislations.
