
Free Legal Aid and Awareness Session at Vivekananda Vidyamandir, Mathabhanga

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar undertakes various awareness activities in order to make people aware of their rights and duties. A variety of tools are used in order to achieve this objective like conducting seminars, lectures programmes in schools on legal issues. Specific issues are taken up for legal literacy programmes varying from place to place depending upon the needs of the students. Accordingly, an awareness programme was conducted by the Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar at Vivekananda Vidyamandir School, Mathabhanga.
The session aimed to educate the young minds about their basic rights and duties as a citizen of this country that are enshrined in the Constitution of India. The session also highlighted the areans of Anti Ragging Laws and its preventive measures . The session further put forwarded the rights and duties which are available to a consumer.
The session ended with an interaction on the significance of Legal awareness and education for the young minds.
