Free Legal Aid Camp at Koch Rajbanshi Youth Festival 2026

The students of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Cooch Behar actively participated in the Koch Rajbanshi Youth Festival (KRYF), a two-day programme held on 19th and 20th September 2026. As part of the festival, the students set up and managed a stall representing the institution and engaged with visitors and participants throughout the programme.

As part of the institution’s commitment towards promoting legal awareness and access to justice, the college organised a Free Legal Aid Camp at the festival. The camp provided an opportunity for members of the public to interact with law students and seek preliminary guidance regarding various legal issues and available legal remedies.

The students actively assisted in conducting the camp, interacted with the visitors, and helped create awareness regarding basic legal rights, remedies, and the importance of seeking appropriate legal assistance. The initiative provided the students with valuable practical exposure and enabled them to understand the importance of legal education in serving society.
