Legal Aid and Legal Awareness Programme at Ramkrishna Boys' High School, Chakchaka

The Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar, organised a Legal Aid and Legal Awareness Programme at Ramkrishna Boys’ High School, Chakchaka, on 15 September 2026. The programme aimed to promote awareness among school students regarding their basic legal rights, responsibilities, and important legal issues affecting young people.

Students of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.B. programmes actively participated in the programme and engaged in meaningful interactions with the school students. The Principal and other faculty members of the school were also present during the programme and extended their support towards the initiative.

The students of Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar, explained various legal concepts in a simple and accessible manner and encouraged the school students to understand their rights and responsibilities and to exercise their rights responsibly. The interaction also provided an opportunity for the participating law students to develop their communication and community-engagement skills.
