Legal Awareness Survey at Rajganj Block, Jalpaiguri

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar successfully organized a socio-legal field survey on 13th May 2026 at Rajganj Block, Jalpaiguri, as part of the practical learning programme for LL.B. Semester IV students.
The survey was conducted under the supervision of Ms. Rachana Dhar and in collaboration with Legal Aid Committee of the Institute.
The initiative aimed to understand the level of awareness, accessibility, and effectiveness of legal services available to rural residents through the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). Through direct interaction with local communities, students explored the practical challenges faced by villagers in accessing legal remedies and government-supported legal assistance.
