Mega Legal Awareness Camp on Child Marriage, Trafficking and Challenges Organized by District Legal Services Authority, Alipurduar Under the Aegis of State Legal Services Authority, West Bengal

The students of LLB. Semester IV of Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar attended the Mega Legal Awareness camp on Child Marriage, Trafficking and Challenges organized by district legal services authority, Alipurduar in collaboration with Koshi Lok Manch under the aegis of State Legal Services Authority, West Bengal.

The event, under the guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Soumen Sen, Judge, High Court at Calcutta, and Executive Chairman,State Legal Services Authority, West Bengal, highlighted how child marriage is identified as one of the most pressing social issues needing immediate attention. His lordship emphasized that child marriage is not only a violation of human rights but also a serious offence under Indian Law.
