Mental Health, Communication & Career Success - A Special Lecture by Anupam Mitra

Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar arranged a special lecture on 11 March 2026, delivered by Anupam Mitra, Assistant Professor at BL Educational Teachers’ Training College and founder of Coochbehar Mind Zone Counselling Centre. A noted psychologist, eminent public speaker, and dedicated social worker, Mr. Mitra has been actively working in the field of mental health awareness and counselling, guiding students and young professionals towards a balanced and purposeful life.

The lecture focused on important themes such as mental health, communication skills, entrepreneurship, and self-branding areas that play a crucial role in shaping successful careers. The session was highly interactive and engaging. Students enthusiastically wrote their questions on small slips of paper, which Mr. Mitra addressed thoughtfully and patiently.

He shared practical guidance on overcoming professional stress, maintaining a healthy balance between personal and professional life, managing panic attacks, boosting confidence and understanding the significance of mental well-being particularly in the demanding profession of law.
