Ms. Riti Basak is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics from Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University, where she was awarded the Silver Medal in her undergraduate studies and the Gold Medal in her postgraduate programme.
She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Economics in the Department of Economics at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. She qualified the UGC-NET in Economics in both the June 2025 and December 2025 sessions, reflecting her strong academic competence and commitment to higher education.
She has published multiple research papers in Scopus-indexed journal and international peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Agricultural Modernization, and Econometric Analysis.
