Assistant Professor Of Law

Mr. Diwash Saibya is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Cooch Behar. He did his LL.M. in Human Rights and Duties Education from the Institute of Eminence (IoE), Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University, in 2026. He did his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, affiliated with the University of North Bengal, in 2024.

He has cleared the All-India Bar Examination (AIBE-XX). He has done internships at the Calcutta High Court, Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench), and trial courts. He has also worked as an intern with a human rights NGO.

He has published research papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He has volunteered at an international conference, presented and participated in national seminars, webinars and attended an academic workshop. His team also won the Best Memorial in the 2nd National Virtual Moot Court Competition, Navrachana University, Vadodara.

His areas of interest include Human Rights and Duties Jurisprudence, Public International Law, International Obligation, International Law of Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, International Refugee Law, Human Rights and Duties Law in India, Human Rights and Criminal Justice System, Women and Human Rights and Duties, Children and Human Rights and Duties, Environment and Human Rights and Duties, Science & Technology and Human Rights and Duties.
