Assistant Professor of Law

Ms. Priyasa Rai is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies Cooch Behar. She completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of North Bengal in 2020 and subsequently completed her LL.M from Sikkim University in 2022.

She qualified the UGC-NET in 2024. She has also qualified the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) in 2023 and the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in 2020.

She has presented research papers at various national and international seminars and conferences. Her LL.M. dissertation was titled "Mental Healthcare Laws in India: A Critical Analysis". Her academic interests include Mental Health Law, Labour Law, Company Law, Environmental Law, Gender Justice, Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, and Public International Law.

She values the relationship she builds with her students and believes that a supportive and approachable learning environment is essential for their academic and personal growth.
