Mr. Bhaskar Choudhury

Mr. Bhaskar Choudhury has been working as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, since 2021. He has been pursuing Ph.D. atChandigarh University (Accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC) in Criminal Law. He has completed his LLM (post-graduation) from the Department of Law at the University of Burdwan. He has completed his 3 Year LL. B from SarsunaLaw College under Vidyasagar University. He has also completed his B. Com (H) in Accounting & Finance from Sarsuna College, under the University of Calcutta and secured the first class. He has secured the second position in his LL.M (post-graduation) at the University. He has been further awarded a Silver Medal for securing the second position in the University in his 3-Year LL. B. He has practised as a criminal lawyer at the Court of Session, Calcutta (Bankshall Court) from 2017 to 2018 and at Alipore Court, Calcutta from 2018 to 2019.
He has participated in and presented papers in various National Seminars. He has also actively participated in various Faculty Development Programmes. His area of interest includes Criminal Law and Procedural Laws.
Working Experience: He was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Law in 2021. He was also appointed as the Co-ordinator for LL. B 3 Year. Currently, he is discharging his administrative responsibilities as Vice-Principal (Administration).
